About Us
Since 2020, Kaizer Community has been devoted to providing therapeutic home care services across Southeast Queensland and Far North Queensland. We strive to build a community and meaningful connections with kin so children and young people have a sense of belonging and can identify with significant people in their lives long after our care.
Kaizer seeks to create an environment of belonging and opportunities to thrive by providing residential care services to children and teenagers, and a supportive workplace for our talented residential youth workers and team.
Kaizer is an NDIS organisation who provide community support to NDIS Participants and employment opportunities for Support Workers.
Residential Care Program
Our residential care program assists children and young people through all areas of their development, from housing to personal growth, life skills, and community building. We want young people to thrive and to live their lives to their full potential.
We recognise that everyone is different and facing unique challenges. Our youth workers strive to build a genuine connection with our young people so that we can understand their journey and provide the best guidance and opportunities to reach their goals and create future independence in a way that suits them.
Our Residential Youth Workers & Professional Team
Our team of qualified youth work professionals is central to our goal and high standards of care. They are highly trained in our Kaizer Community Practice Approach and adhere to our strict practice guidelines when interacting with young people, the community, and other organisations to ensure the best outcomes for care and support for our young people.
We recognise the need for ongoing professional development for youth workers and the importance of providing a supportive, culturally diverse and inclusive environment where our staff feel comfortable with open communication and feedback.
We have several formal and informal structures to facilitate this culture at Kaizer Community, including monthly team workshops and training, employee peer recognition programs, and an employee assistance program. Employee consultation and feedback are also essential to us.
Our NDIS Support Workers
Our support workers are central to the care, consistency and quality of our NDIS support services. They are trained in the Kaizer Community Practice Approach and follow clear practice guidelines when supporting NDIS participants, families, carers, the community and other organisations.
Kaizer’s support workers provide respectful, person-centred support shaped around each participant’s goals, routines and individual needs, including community access, community participation and daily living support.
We also recognise the importance of ongoing training, supervision and professional development for support workers. Through team workshops, peer recognition, employee support programs and open consultation, we aim to provide a supportive, culturally diverse and inclusive workplace where our people can continue to grow.

Kaizer Community works with recognised partners, training providers and care frameworks to support quality, consistency and best practice across our organisation.
Kaizer works closely with the Australian Human Rights Commission to provide important training to its staff.
As our training partner, Strategix RTO #31418 provides Cert IV in Youth Work qualifications for individuals looking to join our team.
We work with the government and abide by the QLD Care Services Outcome Framework to ensure we meet each resident's needs.
Kaizer collaborates with PeakCare through the Hope & Healing Framework, providing comprehensive training to all Kaizer staff.
Kaizer partners with Your Mob for cultural awareness training, recognising the needs of Indigenous young people and the role of culture in their development.
Our Community Practice
The ‘why and how’ of everything we do, Kaizer’s Community Practice Approach is our collective understanding of how we work with young people and their families, kin, and cultures. This approach is the common language used across all Kaizer locations and services.
Our approach was developed by Kaizer staff from diverse roles and locations, guided by the latest research in residential care and youth family work, and shaped by our values of resilience, cultural inclusion, integrity, safety, and professional relationships.
